After scoring 30 times last season, Rashford signed a new long-term deal at Old Trafford last summer but has endured an underwhelming campaign this term having made the headlines for the wrong reasons over the last week.
The 26-year-old reported in sick and missed training last Friday ahead of the FA Cup clash with Newport County.
It later emerged he had enjoyed a boozy evening out in Belfast the night before, leaving the Northern Irish capital just hours before he was due to arrive at Carrington.
Rashford returned to training on Monday having reportedly been fined two weeks wages with United attempting to draw a line under the incident with a statement announcing ‘the matter is now closed’.
Rashford’s discipline has been called into question with reports suggesting his own teammates have were left furious with his behaviour with Rio Ferdinand among the former stars warning him over his future.
PSG could offer him an escape route. iNews report the French champions are considering a fresh move at the end of the season having been long-term admirers of the England international.
PSG may also have the small matter of replacing Kylian Mbappe to attend to at the end of the season with the French star approaching the end of his contract.
Rashford has been widely criticised over the last seven days with former United star Ferdinand urging him to remember he is now a ‘senior’ member of the dressing room.
‘Right now Marcus should be the guy that’s leading that team,’ said Ferdinand.
‘There’s a lot of noise around the club. You’re one of the most experienced players now, keep that noise down. That’s your duty.
‘You’re one of the leaders now, like it or not, because of the time you’ve been there.
‘You’ve got to be aware enough that when you’re not doing well enough as a club and as a team, and you’re not hitting the standards that you know you’re about, you’ve got to be aware.’
Rashford, who has scored just four times this season, could return to the United squad when they take on Wolves on Thursday.
