According to information from the Team, the labor inspectorate sanctioned PSG with a large fine for non-compliance with gender parity. More precisely, for non-compliance with the index “professional equality between men and women on remuneration.” This sanction concerns the last seasons, but not the current one. PSG did not count enough points according to the law (pay gap between women and men, difference in individual increase rates between women and men, difference in promotion rates between women and men, percentage of employees who received an increase in the year following their return from maternity leave, number of employees of the under-represented sex among the 10 employees who received the highest remuneration)
But this decision was not accepted by the capital club which decided to challenge the sanction by instead highlighting all the efforts made by the club to improve the situation. Other professional clubs could also be sanctioned by the labor inspectorate for the same reasons.
