PSG have set their asking price for Manchester United and Arsenal target Xavi Simons following his impressive performances at Euro 2024.

Simons started four of the Netherlands’ six games at the Euros, helping Ronald Koeman’s side reach the semi-finals before they were knocked out by England.

The 21-year-old rifled a powerful shot past Jordan Pickford to give his side the lead against England before Harry Kane equalised and Ollie Watkins scored a late winner to send Gareth Southgate’s side through to Sunday’s final.

Manchester United, Arsenal, Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig have all expressed interest in signing Simons this summer and PSG are open to selling – for the right price.

Simons came through Paris Saint-Germain’s academy before making 11 appearances during his first stint at the French giants.

The attacking midfielder moved to PSV in 2022 but was re-signed by PSG after scoring 19 goals in 34 league games in his first season in Holland.

Simons spent last season on loan at RB Leipzig but will expect to challenge for a place in the PSG team next term unless he is sold.

Paris-Saint Germain are yet to make a final decision on the player’s future but, according to The Sun, will want an offer of £70m to sanction his departure.

Manchester United are already closing in on deals for two of Simons’ international team-mates – defender Matthijs de Ligt and forward Joshua Zirkzee.

Simons addressed speculation over his future at the start of the Euros, insisting he was ‘happy’ at PSG but would make a decision following the tournament.

‘My future? I don’t know yet. I’m here, happy, with my national team,’ he said when quizzed on his situation after the Netherlands’ goalless draw with France at Euro 2024.

‘We’ll see after the Euros what happens. Do I want to return to Paris? I was happy in Paris, things happened. I was at Leipzig this season.

‘After the Euros, we’ll see. I also see that the fans always wish me the best, and that’s good.’
