Paris Saint-Germain, once again held in check in Ligue 1. This Sunday afternoon, on behalf of the 25th day of Ligue 1, the capital club failed to take three points against the Stade de Reims and conceded the point of the draw with a score of 2 goals everywhere.

A score which does not change much in the standings for Luis Enrique’s men who are 10 points ahead of Stade Brestois. The Ile-de-France residents, however, maintain their unbeaten streak of 22 consecutive matches without defeat in all competitions. The red and blue will now meet this Wednesday at the Parc des Princes in the quarter-final of the Coupe de France against OGC Nice.

On the other hand, Stade de Reims is doing well with this draw. The Rémois put the Parisians in difficulty. A point which allows them to maintain this ninth place at the end of this 25th day of Ligue 1.

A lively game on both sides

With a reshuffled 11 with Kylian Mbappé on the substitutes’ bench, Paris Saint-Germain wants to confirm its performance of the week in the Champions League and return to success in Ligue 1.

However, it is the Reims players who hit the mark first in this part. Marshall Munetsi took advantage of an error from Keylor Navas and Achraf Hakimi to pick the capital club cold (1-0, 7th).

Despite this opener, the Rouge et Bleu were quick to respond. Following a corner taken from right to left by Carlos Soler, Yunis Abdelhamid propelled the ball into his own net (1-1.17).

With confidence, the reigning French champions will put Reims under water thanks to a fox and attacking goal from Gonçalo Ramos with his left foot a few minutes later (2-1, 19th).

Despite situations and overall domination, Keylor Navas’ partners will be surprised at the end of the first act by Oumar Diakite (2-2, 45th).

Upon returning from the locker room and despite the entries of Randal Kolo Muani, Ousmane Dembélé and Kylian Mbappé at the end of the match, the Parisians failed to snatch victory despite strong possession of the ball. The capital club is now focused on the Coupe de France match against Nice, with revenge to take…
