Manuel Ugarte has been left out of the Paris Saint-Germain for the second week running, with a transfer to Manchester United beginning to look more likely.
The Uruguay international is closing in on a switch to Manchester United after missing PSG’s Ligue 1 curtain-raiser win over Le Harve.
With Ugarte on the verge of signing for United, he will also miss tonight’s game against Montpellier.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano issued an update this morning to state that Ugarte had been left out of the PSG match day squad again.

His move to Manchester United is at the final stages, almost completed. ⏳🇺🇾

This is good news for United because it means Ugarte won’t be at risk of injury before joining, and it’s also a further sign that Luis Enrique has moved on from the Uruguayan after signing Joao Neves from Benfica earlier this summer.
Ugarte won’t be signed and registered in time to play against Brighton this weekend, but there is an opportunity he could join Erik ten Hag’s list of United debutants when the Reds host Liverpool in the Premier League on September 1.
The 26-year-old defensive midfielder is seen as an upgrade and replacement for Casemiro.
The veteran Brazilian doesn’t need to be playing games every week at 32. This season we could have depth in the defensive midfield department. It’s been a long time since United fans could say that about the squad.
