The conflict between PSG and Kylian Mbappé is set to continue. The striker, who arrived at Real Madrid on a free transfer this summer, is demanding €55 million from his former employer. This sum corresponds to the final third of a signing bonus (€36 million) that he was due to receive in February, the last three months of salary stipulated in his contract (April, May, June 2024), in addition to a so-called “ethical” bonus over the same period. Referred to by the captain of the Blues, the LFP legal committee recently ruled in favor of Kylian Mbappé, except that the club does not intend to give in.
In a statement released last week, the capital club stated that it was within its rights, considering that this dispute should be brought before another jurisdiction. The League’s legal committee had nevertheless ordered the Parisians to pay “within eight days”. This deadline ends tonight at midnight and of course, the PSG management has not changed its mind, highlighting the verbal agreement reached with Mbappé. The sum will not be paid. The player’s lawyers could take this case to UEFA and refer the matter to the industrial tribunal.
