The young Paris Saint-Germain striker gives a very positive assessment of his first year in the capital.
Arriving last summer from Olympique Lyonnais after 6 months of discovery in Ligue 1, Bradley Barcola has taken on another dimension this season. The French international Espoir has gradually established himself as one of the most successful attackers for the capital club.
A status that Barcola once again assumed by finding the net on Saturday against Le Havre (3-3). The former Lyonnais scored the first Parisian goal. If this result may have frustrated Paris Saint-Germain at the time, the championship title was already sealed. More generally, Barcola noted many reasons for satisfaction, at the dawn of a very exciting last month.
“We complement each other with Ousmane and Kylian”
“There is real cohesion in this team, we work on a lot of sequences in training, we are comfortable together and that’s why we manage to do good things, explained the young winger in comments given to Canal +. With Ousmane (Dembélé) and Kylian (Mbappé), we complement each other, there is a very good state of mind, all three of us manage to play well. I think we can only finish the season well. (…) My goal ? I’m criticized for not being in the box enough, but I followed well and I scored, I’m happy”.
On PSG TV, the evening’s scorer praised the mental strength of his team. “ We are happy to have come back to the score. We knew it was going to be complicated at half-time, but we didn’t give up, we quickly got back into the match, and that’s why we managed to catch up. The championship ? Yes it is difficult; especially when you play against such low blocks, who really all stay behind. It’s complicated but in the end with our mental strength we always manage to achieve victory or draws, so we’re happy. Our mental strength? It’s true that every time there is no doubt, even when we are led. It’s really this mental strength that allows us to win matches and come back from matches like that, so it’s very, very good for us. »
