Strong return and possible start this Tuesday against Real Sociedad for a long-term absentee from Paris Saint-Germain.

Nuno Mendes, left back of Paris Saint-Germain, is back on the field after a long absence due to a hamstring injury contracted in May 2023.

In two appearances and 50 minutes of play, he seems to be regaining his sensations and his coach, Luis Enrique, plans to start him this Tuesday evening against Real Sociedad in the round of 16 second leg of the Champions League.

Green light for Nuno Mendes?

The Nuno Mendes recovery process is being carefully monitored by the Parisian staff. The Spanish coach is satisfied with the Portuguese’s progress and confirms his ability to start the match against the Txuri-urdinak.

“Tomorrow (Tuesday), he will be able to start, not to play the whole match but he is capable of starting. We are very happy because he is a player who can contribute,” he said.

An important contribution for PSG

The former member of Sporting CP is an important element of the Parisian system. His speed, technique and dribbling skills make him a valuable offensive asset on the left flank.

His return to competition is excellent news for PSG, who need all their strength to approach the home stretch of the season.
