A year after his arrival at
Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2022, Vitinha established himself last season as a strong link in the capital club. The Portuguese’s technical quality, leadership, consistency, versatility and tactical intelligence make him an essential element of Luis Enrique’s system.
This influence was also reflected in his performances, both in Ligue 1 and on the European scene, where Vitinha was the most impactful player of Paris Saint-Germain in the epic until the semi-final of the Ligue des champions last season.
Vitinha hampered by injury
This progress was, however, slowed down by an injury contracted during the first international break of the current season. A real challenge for the midfielder, who admitted to having gone through a delicate period in recent weeks.
“ It still impacts because I missed matches. It’s difficult for me to be sidelined, because I always want to help and be available, whether at club or national team. explained Vitinha on BeIN Sports.
When I get injured, it’s complicated, but once on the pitch, it doesn’t change anything. I no longer think about the injury during the match“, concluded the Portuguese.
