Paris Saint-Germain reportedly want to replace Kylian Mbappe with Napoli star Victor Osimhen, who has been linked to both Arsenal and Chelsea.

Mbappe has told PSG that he will leave the club at the end of the season with Real Madrid his most likely destination.

Liverpool and Arsenal have also explored deals for Mbappe but his massive wages could be an issue for both sides.

PSG are already planning for life after Mbappe with The Athletic reporting that the French champions are now targeting a move for Osimhen.

Osimhen has established himself as one of the hottest properties in European football after steering Napoli to their first Serie A title in 33 years last season.

This term, Osimhen has picked up where he left off, netting seven times in 13 appearances in the Italian top-flight.

Premier League rivals Arsenal and Chelsea were both credited with a strong interest in January and it is thought they may try again for Osimhen this summer.

But the two English clubs will now have to also battle PSG for Osimhen’s signature.

The 25-year-old is seen as a ‘strong contender’ to replace Mbappe by PSG, who have been preparing for the latter’s possible exit since the summer.

Osimhen helped Nigeria reach the final of the Africa Cup of Nations this year as his nation finished as runners-up to the Ivory Coast.
