Xavi Simons’ summer is going to be lively. Currently at Euro 2024 with the Netherlands, the Dutch striker will play for his country’s qualification for the quarter-finals against Romania, this Tuesday (6 p.m.). But at the same time, the player who belongs to Paris Saint-Germain is in total uncertainty regarding his future at the club. Loaned to RB Leipzig by Paris Saint-Germain, he will not be retained in Luis Enrique’s squad next season and is still heading to a new club.

The 21-year-old winger would like to stay in Germany to continue his career, he who is coming off a very good season in the Bundesliga punctuated by 8 goals and 11 assists in 32 league games. Recently, he had also confided: “I was happy in Paris. There are things that happened, but still. I was in Leipzig this year. After the Euro, we’ll see. I also see that the fans wish me the best all the time.”.

Xavi Simons agrees with Bayern, but…

So, Bayern Munich decided to take action to get him and things have evolved positively. According to information from Sky Sports GermanyBayern Munich’s management has agreed with Xavi Simons on the duration of a potential contract, as well as on the salary issue. The Rekordmeister is still in concrete negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain, where Xavi Simons is still under contract until 2027.

But the German portal specifies that, even in the event of an agreement with Bayern Munich, Xavi Simons has not yet decided for which club he will play next season. If the Munich club keeps an advantage with this agreement, a stay at RB Leipzig is also conceivable. A saga that could quickly end if the Oranje were to be eliminated against Romania, in the round of 16 of Euro 2024, Tuesday evening (6 p.m.).
