Punished in Saudi Arabia, Cristiano Ronaldo reacts

Cristiano Ronaldo has been handed a one-match suspension from the Saudi Pro League, but the Al-Nassr striker says he “can’t stop”.

The Portuguese superstar will not take part in the meeting with Al-Hazm on Thursday, after being sanctioned by the Saudi Football Federation (SAFF). This sanction is linked to the rude gesture he made during the spectacular 3-2 victory against Al-Shabab, in reaction to other taunts from the “pro Messi” supporters coming from the stands.

Five-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo will take a forced break from competition, but that doesn’t mean he’ll be resting away from the pitch. Known for his unfailing work ethic, CR7 keeps busy at the gym.

Cr7 wants to take revenge

As his teammates prepare for another Pro League outing – in an attempt to stay in the title race – Ronaldo posted a message on his social channels, saying he “can’t stop” as he are looking to be ready for their return to action in Monday’s AFC Champions League quarter-final first leg against Al-Ain.

Ronaldo will be a big absentee for Al-Nassr because, despite his 39 years, he has maintained a remarkable individual level this season and scored 34 goals in 35 appearances in all competitions.
