Queen Camilla Talks Extended Absence After Recent Chest Infection

Queen Camilla is speaking out about her extended absence over the last few weeks following a chest infection.

The 77-year-old royal took a step back from her royal festivities while recovering since early November.

She has been doing well, but still experiences some symptoms of post-viral fatigue.

On Tuesday (December 3), while appearing at Buckingham Palace for the the Amir of the state of Qatar state visit to the UK, Queen Camilla shared that her chest infection was a form of pneumonia.

Camilla was not in attendance at the traditional kickoff of the state visit and was driven to the palace later in the day to join King Charles, the Amir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and his wife, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani, where they had a luncheon and viewing of objects that have ties to Qatar. In addition, the Queen reduced her role at the glam state banquet due to her health. She posed for photos but did not partake in the traditional receiving line.

However, Queen Camilla is expected to attend the dinner and participate in farewells on Wednesday (December 4).
