R-Truth is known to be one of the biggest John Cena fans in the world. However, despite Cena’s scathing promo on RAW, he still doesn’t understand why everyone is turning against him.
In a reply to a post from WWE on Twitter/X about Cena’s promo, R-Truth said that something was “wrong,” and didn’t understand why everyone was on his “childhood hero.” The post came in response to John Cena’s first public comments since shockingly attacking Cody Rhodes at WWE Elimination Chamber.
During John Cena’s appearance on RAW in Brussels, Belgium, the superstar explained his decision for the attack on Cody Rhodes. While the crowd constantly mocked and booed him, Cena explained that the fans were actually the ones to blame for everything. According to Cena, their constant mockery (and praise) over him constantly winning caused him to try and be the best person he could be, but it was never enough for them.
Despite his sudden turn heel, it seems like Cena has at least retained R-Truth as a fan.

During his RAW promo, John Cena said he was not a babyface or a heel, but just a human. He also blamed the fans for hating him until he was gone, comparing it to being in a long-term abusive relationship. Cena also referenced the “You Can’t See Me” joke that hasn’t stopped, calling it pathetic.
“You steal my time, you have made me your friggin’ toy,” John Cena said during part of his promo. “I am object to you. You have made me the butt of a stupid, invisible joke for 15 years, and you still think it’s funny. It’s not funny, it is pathetic.”
