A little over a month after his arrival at OM, the French international will be started for the first time by Roberto De Zerbi.
Sunday evening, Olympique de Marseille will take to the pitch in Montpellier, for the closing match of the eighth day of Ligue 1. For the first time this season, Adrien Rabiot will start with the Marseille club.
Roberto De Zerbi didn’t even try to keep the slightest suspense. “He worked very well and he will start on Sunday. He has regained good physical condition and I am very happy with him. He is a humble boy, who made himself available to everyone and who has shown a lot of enthusiasm since his arrival in Marseille”explained the Italian technician at a press conference.
Rabiot, first tenure with OM
In a 4-2-3-1 tactical scheme, Rabiot could thus be associated with the Dane Højbjerg in recovery. “ I have no doubt that he will make the difference in this team because he is a top playerassures the former Brighton coach.
We have to put him in the best conditions, but he will be an added value for OM, like Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg or Mason Greenwood. »
This will be the third appearance of the French international in the colors of OM. The former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder came on as a substitute in the last two league matches, during the trip to Strasbourg (1-0 defeat) and for the reception at Angers (1-1).
