A few weeks ago, Vinicius Jr set fire to Spain. Indeed, the Brazilian, victim of several racist acts, had suggested entrusting the organization of the 2030 World Cup to another country (Spain will organize the tournament in collaboration with Morocco and Portugal, editor’s note). This had provoked the anger of several personalities, whether from the political world or the world of sport, on the other side of the Pyrenees. Asked about this during an interview with El MundoNico Williams (Athletic Bilbao) was invited to respond to the Madrid star.

“Obviously I’m not in Vinicius’ shoes and I don’t know how he will feel. I can speak for myself and it’s true that in football there are too many insults. I don’t like it when they insult others, whether it’s Vinicius or Luka Modric. You have to go to the stadium to enjoy and support your team without needing to insult anyone. Lately, there have been too many altercations in just a few days. I don’t understand. I don’t know, I think we need to think about it because I don’t understand these behaviors and they make football worse. Too often there is a lack of respect for others.” The La Roja player hopes that things will change quickly.
