Randy Orton is a 14-time World Champion and quite a few of those title reigns were due to John Cena, as the two had a longstanding feud. Now, Orton made it clear he was to square off against John Cena at WrestleMania.
John Cena and Randy Orton started their WWE journey together in Ohio Valley Wrestling before debuting on the main roster in 2002. From the very beginning, their careers were intertwined in a way no one could have expected.
John Cena and Randy Orton have faced off against each other numerous times over the years, some being more deadly than others but never at WrestleMania. The last time they faced off against each other was on an episode of Friday Night SmackDown and they haven’t ever since.
While speaking on WWE’s The Bump, Randy Orton made it clear that he wants to square off against John Cena in a singles match at WrestleMania somewhere down the line.
‘‘A dream match for me would be to somehow find myself in a situation where I’m fighting Cena at WrestleMania for the title. I don’t know how you get there, I’m not saying it’s gonna happen, but I have never wrestled John at WrestleMania in a singles match. So, that and we had some wars back in the day, so being able to revisit that after all this time. I think it’s not only something that I would want, it’s something that fans would eat it up too.”
We will have to wait and see whether Randy Orton and John Cena will eventually collide at WrestleMania in a singles match someday. After all, fans would more than love to see it happen as well.
