Randy Orton has the receipts to show that he saw big things for Cody Rhodes a long time ago.

Cody Rhodes is the face of WWE now, and he is leading the company in a boom period as its Undisputed WWE Champion. Rhodes returned to the company in 2022, but his crowning moment did not come until he dethroned Roman Reigns at WWE WrestleMania 40.

On May 5, Randy Orton took to Twitter to pull up a tweet from April 2011, in which he said that Rhodes had improved 10 times since the last time they shared the ring. At the time, Orton said that he saw Rhodes as a future world champion.

Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton have been connected for years, as Cody was part of Orton’s stable, The Legacy, earlier in his career. Rhodes went on to have some success after the group broke up, but it wasn’t until he left WWE and made a name for himself in NJPW, ROH, and AEW that his career truly reached the next level. He then came back to WWE at WrestleMania 38, and he has since established himself as the face of the company.

Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes reunited in the Men’s WarGames match at WWE Survivor Series 2023, where their team defeated The Judgment Day.

Orton and Rhodes both competed at WWE Backlash France. “The Viper” and Kevin Owens lost to Tama Tonga and Solo Sikoa. In the main event, Rhodes beat AJ Styles to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship.
