Randy Orton is ready to teach Kevin Owens a lesson, and it’ll happen at Crown Jewel.
During tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown, Orton came down to the ring to open the show and quickly took to the mic. He said that he’s been trying to get a match against Owens for a week now, and called Triple H out as the one guy who could make it happen after Nick Aldis said that the decision was “above him” last week.
Despite that, Orton said he believes that Triple H might be not doing it on purpose to protect Owens from him.
Out came Triple H after that, taking to the mic and saying that he’d prefer not to do this this way, but told Orton that the match simply wouldn’t be happen. Instead of trying to protect Owens, Hunter said, he’s actually trying to protect Randy. He then began to describe Owens’ mindset to Orton, saying that Kevin had always been about the business, and wasn’t afraid to have no friends along the way.
After some more back and forth, Orton said that he knows what’s at stake with his career and his health, and that he isn’t the Randy Orton of old, and is more responsible and less impulsive. After a moment of thought, Triple H said he hopes Orton knows what he’s asking for, and then granted the match for Crown Jewel.
