Rashford away from PSG? The new revelation

Rashford’s situation at United has taken a worrying turn, with the England international left out of manager Ruben Amorim’s squad for three of their last four matches. Amid this turmoil, Rashford has expressed his desire for a “new challenge”, with his future at Old Trafford looking increasingly uncertain. Amorim confirmed Rashford will also miss United’s upcoming Premier League clash against table leaders Liverpool, citing illness as the latest reason for his absence.

Former England captain Alan Shearer has given his views on Rashford’s struggles and he believes his slump is a phase that can only be overcome with dedication and a positive mindset.

Shearer told Betfair: “For Rashford, hard work and the right attitude will get him back to his best. I don’t know what happened, but something must have happened for him to do this interview and say it’s best for him to leave Old Trafford. You can’t just press a button and go back to your best, we all have difficult periods where you don’t play or can’t find the net. There is only one way out; it’s about focusing, working hard and then things should change for the better. I think it’s too early to talk about his career in England – he needs to get his act together and the club needs to get its act together too.

“I don’t think he can afford to turn to a career in England, which has become quite stagnant. He hasn’t been capped for so long, and he hasn’t played recently, so I don’t think anyone can consider talks with England at the moment. »

Reports suggest United could offer a swap deal to acquire Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray, in exchange for Rashford. With a release clause of £62 million ($77 million), Osimhen would be an expensive addition, but United hope to reduce the financial burden by including Rashford in the deal.

Shearer, however, remains skeptical as he believes such a deal will be very complex and difficult to execute in the January window.

“There have been rumors of a swap deal with Napoli for Rashford with Victor Osimhen moving to Old Trafford. We have seen other players go to Serie A and start their careers. However, I think Marcus will have to look at all options to see if any of them suit him, as well as Manchester United, which is perhaps the most important consideration.”he declared.

Too expensive for PSG?

“I don’t know if that can happen in the next month or if he’ll try to force his way back into United’s starting XI. I think it will be difficult to agree a deal in January, whether it is a loan or a permanent contract. This is a really difficult transfer to achieve. There is a lot to do and so many aspects to consider when making a transfer. Firstly it’s about agreeing a fee, and then a salary – he’s on a huge salary at Manchester United at the moment and I’d be surprised if anyone in the Premier League would be willing to equal. »

The January transfer period offers an opportunity for resolution, but time is limited. Whether United decide to sell, trade or keep Rashford, a decision must be made to avoid further distractions. Until then, Amorim’s priority must be to resolve United’s problems on the pitch, as the team have gone four matches without a win and face the daunting task of facing league leaders Liverpool, Sunday.
