Manchester United’s hopes of finishing in a Champions League spot diminished further despite a valiant draw against Liverpool on Sunday. Marcus Rashford is a doubt after being forced off at the weekend.

United came from behind to lead the title contenders 2-1. However, a late Mohamed Salah penalty ensured the points were shared.

Erik ten Hag has had to deal with an endless injury list all season, which is why I think the campaign has thus far felt like a complete write-off.

Ahead of Saturday evening’s trip to Bournemouth, it’s time to take a closer look at the shape of the squad to see what sort of team we can expect Ten Hag to select.

Injuries: Luke Shaw, Marcus Rashford, Lisandro Martinez, Victor Lindelof, Scott McTominay, Raphael Varane, Jonny Evans, Anthony Martial and Tyrell Malacia.

Rashford took a knock against Liverpool and was forced off before the end, however, the forward took to social media this week to suggest he’s okay. This may grant Antony another chance to start before there is no point rushing Rashford back before the FA Cup semi-final against Coventry City which takes place at Wembley in two weeks.

Furthermore, McTominay looks set to miss the next two matches with a fresh injury.

Ten Hag will speak to the reporters on Friday afternoon when he is expected to give an update on what players he will have available to face Bournemouth.
