The news is good for Marcus Rashford. England coach Thomas Tuchel unveiled his list this Friday for the 2026 World Cup qualification matches, scheduled for March 21 and 24 in Wembley against Albania and Latvia, and decided to recall the 27 -year -old.
At a press conference, the English technician explained that his choice to summon Rashford had been motivated by his recent performances under the colors of Aston Villa. Currently loaned to the Birmingham club by Manchester United since this winter, the English striker has already distilled four assists in nine appearances.
Tuchel greets the impact and efforts of Rashford
“I felt that he had a huge impact at Aston Villa. Its physical impact was impressive, and I especially noted its important defensive efforts. I have the deep feeling that we had to summon him, bring him and push him to stay at this level to avoid him falling back into his bad habits. This internship aims to push him to stay at this level ”said the former Chelsea coach.
As a reminder, the last match of Rashford with the Three Lions dates back to March 2024. He had played a quarter of an hour during a friendly match against Brazil (1-0 defeat).
