Rasmus Hojlund is adamant that he and Marcus Rashford are on their way to forming a prolific partnership in Manchester United’s frontline.
The pair added to their respective Premier League tallies on Sunday when both players etched their names on the scoresheet during the Reds’ 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur.
It marked a second goal in the league for Hojlund when he emphatically broke the deadlock after just three minutes. He then turned playmaker prior to the interval when dispatching a perfectly weighted pass for Rashford, who fired his strike straight into the bottom corner.
It’s no secret that United’s attacking threat and goalscoring form this season have been nowhere near the standard expected, especially given the quality and cost of some of the members of the squad, however, supporters will be hoping that matters pick up in the second half of the term now that Hojlund is off the mark, Rashford is back amongst the goals and injured players are returning to the fold.

Hojlund talks Rashford partnership
Speaking to Inside United (as cited by ManUtd.com), the young Dane divulged his hopes for the future of a blossoming relationship with Rashford.
“I think, with every teammate, you try to get the understanding of how their game is,” Hojlund began. “You start to understand each other and you’re going to be even better on the pitch. And, at some point, then you’re going to be unstoppable together. So, for us, I think every one of us has a desire to learn and understand each other’s game.
“It’s not something you get from one day to the other, but, again, I think we are getting there. I think me and Marcus, especially, try to find each other now. I think he’s got a couple of assists for me as well. So I’d love to give him one or two assists as well soon.”
