El Chadaille Bitshiabu doesn’t give up. At 19, the young French defender begins his second season at RB Leipzig, with the desire to prove his worth. During his first year in Germany, the former Paris Saint-Germain resident (who had been sold in exchange for €15 million) quickly injured his knee in August 2023, leaving him away from the field for almost three months. What’s next? After a comeback in November 2023, he only played seven Bundesliga matches.
This season, he was again hit by bad luck when he was injured again in August. This time, it was the ischium that suffered. Returning after a twenty-day stint in the infirmary, Bitshiabu still hopes to prove his worth to his trainer Marco Rose. But again, it’s complicated. Substitute during the Champions League clashes against Juventus and Atlético de Madrid, El Chadaille Bitshiabu will have to work hard. But his coach has just sent him a message of hope.
“Chad had an excellent match in Leverkusen (last August 31, editor’s note). At this level he can be a very important player for us. We have confidence in Chad and he can make his mark here. We are of course wondering how we can best support its development, namely lending it again for a year or six months. But he himself decided to stay here and get by.”he confided this Friday at a press conference. It remains to be seen whether the Frenchman will maintain this course of action if his playing time remains the same as the winter transfer window approaches.
