Barcelona’s pursuit of Dani Olmo is becoming more intense with each passing day and recently, RB Leipzig’s sporting director, Rouven Schroder, has made it clear that they will consider the offers for the Spanish international.

However, they will only let him leave if a proposal comes in that meets their financial demands.

It is no secret that signing Olmo is one of the main priorities for Barcelona. The Catalan club is ramping up their efforts to secure his transfer and according to sources, Barcelona are speeding up their contacts to finalise his incorporation.

Negotiations with RB Leipzig are ongoing, and the Spanish international’s agents will travel to Zagreb to meet with Olmo and update him on the situation regarding his possible return to Barça. As a result, Barcelona have even raised their initial offer.

Leipzig will only consider top offers

As these negotiations continue to evolve, RB Leipzig’s sporting director has made several statements to German media regarding Olmo’s future in the past.

In a recent interview, he mentioned that they are not under any pressure to sell him. He also made it clear that they will not make it easy for the player to leave.

“If we don’t reach an agreement with a club, then the player will stay with us. And if there is something suitable, we will consider it. But one thing is also clear: there can be no single winner,” said Schroder as quoted by Mundo Deportivo.

Olmo is expected at Leipzig

Olmo, after his outstanding performance in the Euro Cup, is enjoying his last days of vacation in Croatia. He has been called to undergo medical tests with RB Leipzig next Thursday.

By Friday, he should return to training with the German team. Barcelona aims to finalize his signing before he has to return to Germany, making the upcoming week crucial in determining Dani Olmo’s future.

The urgency from Barcelona is understandable. They see Olmo as a key addition to their squad, enhancing their midfield options significantly.

The player himself is keen on the move, eager to return to Spain and play for one of the biggest clubs in the world. His experience and skills would be a valuable asset for Barcelona as they aim to strengthen their team for the upcoming season.
