Vitor Roque’s future has become a hot topic in recent days, as Palmeiras face a race against time to sign the Brazilian before the country’s transfer market closes on February 28.

However, despite recent speculation, Real Betis have not yet received any offer from Palmeiras or engaged in talks to end the forward’s loan early.

This is according to Mundo Deportivo, which suggests Betis have only been in contact with the Catalan club regarding Palmeiras’ interest.

Barcelona informed Betis that the Brazilian side is willing to offer €25 million for 80% of Roque’s rights in the summer and that they are also looking to bring him in on loan until the end of the season.

However, Betis have no intention of breaking the existing arrangement at this moment.

Possible options for Betis next summer

Come summer, Betis faces a pivotal decision on Roque. They could trigger a €25 million option to buy 80% of his rights, though this move is considered improbable.

The club can also extend his loan for another year, retaining a €27.5 million purchase clause for 2026.

Alternatively, they could send the youngster back to Barcelona, in which case, the Catalans can just simply offload the player on a permanent deal.

However, Roque’s agents prefer that Barcelona find a resolution this month, as there are certain risks involved in waiting for a move.

One of the risks could be Palmeiras finding a better alternative for Roque by the time the summer transfer window opens.

In any case, Roque’s future is completely in the hands of Real Betis, who, for now, have no desire to end the player’s loan early.
