Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly given the green light for the signing of a new defender.

Did Carlo Ancelotti lie? A few days ago, the Italian coach assured that there would be no more new arrivals at Real Madrid, with Kylian Mbappé and Endrick being the only summer signings of the Spanish club. But according to ASthe doors of the White House would not actually be completely closed.

Ancelotti gives his “green light”

The Madrid sports daily reveals that the Italian technician would have “given the green light” for the signing of Aymeric Laporte. Winner of Euro 2024 with La Roja this summer, the French central defender (30 years old), naturalized Spanish, would like to leave the Saudi formation of Al-Nassr, which he joined a year ago.

Problem: Real Madrid would like to get the former Athletic Bilbao and Manchester City player back without spending a single euro, while the Riyadh-based club would like to recover part of the 27.5 million euros bet on him in 2023. Florentino Pérez may therefore have to dig deep to close the deal.
