Real Madrid are walking on water this season. A solid card in the Champions League, leader of La Liga with only one defeat, Carlo Ancelotti’s team is thriving. A success due to well-oiled tactics from the Italian coach? To the omnipresence of rookie Jude Bellingham? The talent of Vinícius Júnior? Far from all that, their success could come from their mattresses. Like the investigation of Marca reveals, Real Madrid players have their own little habits to have the best of cozy nests. Quite a few players are turning to the Vispring brand, which has been designing the best mattresses for decades. The British company was the supplier of the Titanic and the Queen Mary for example.

The mattresses attracted Real Madrid players through word of mouth. With in particular the Diamond Majesty model, which includes vicuna in the padding, silk, bamboo and three rows of pocket springs, for a total of 55,000 euros. For Madrid players, sleep comes at a price. This is perhaps the price of success.
