Real Madrid: Ancelotti demands the arrival of a new coach

Real Madrid have decided not to replace injured David Alaba and retired Toni Kroos in the summer transfer window.

But Real have allowed a new manager to join their squad. It looked like Stockport County assistant manager Andy Mangan would join their staff but he was refused a work permit.

According to Relevo, Carlo Ancelotti and his coaching staff have once again asked for an additional coach to help them, believing that they are understaffed. They believe that the next step to improve performance is to bring in someone else to help work on tactical and technical ideas. Currently, Ancelotti’s coaching staff consists of eight members: assistant Davide Ancelotti, goalkeeping coach Luis Llopis, coach Francesco Mauri, technical analyst Simone Montanaro, technical and fitness coach Mino Fulco and fitness coach Antonio Pintus, as well as two video analysts.

Real Madrid are not necessarily against adding another coach, but they are keen not to bring in another coach and want a valuable tactician. Partly because they do not want to disrupt the current harmony between the current staff and the players. If they are going to bring in someone, they want it to be a coach who will stay in place after Ancelotti leaves. Ancelotti and his staff have people in mind, but it will depend on the club’s decision.

It is likely that Davide Ancelotti and Mauri will leave to pursue their own coaching careers once Carlo is gone or he is sacked. The fitness team and Llopis will likely remain, but Montanaro is another element of the coaching staff who could follow Ancelotti if they leave. It is clear that the failure to sign Mangan indicates that Los Blancos are ready to make a move.
