Rake wide », this is the formula established and advocated in many recruitment units today in Europe. It must be said, with the advent of new stars like the Norwegian Erling Haaland, the Georgian Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the Ecuadorian Moises Caicedo, and others, the clubs realized that it was certainly more judicious to seek out the talents at the source than paying a high price for them after their explosion.

This Sunday, La Gazzetta dello Sport reveals to us that the 16-year-old player, Saba Kharebashvili (he was born in 2008 and is therefore even younger than Yamal), would thus be the interest of major European clubs. According to the Italian newspaper, Real Madrid, but also Barça would carefully follow the evolution of the very offensive Georgian left-back. A path which in any case makes sense with the policy of the two clubs, focused for several seasons towards targeting young thumbs. This is how Vinicius, Rodrygo, Endrick, Valverde, Camavinga, Lunin and Güler, to name but a few, joined the Merengue club, and how Noah Darvich, Ronald Araujo, Vitor Roque and even Julián Araujo joined Catalonia.

It is considered the new Georgian gem

Trained at Dinamo Tbilisi like a certain Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Saba Kharebashvili was launched among the professionals in March, when he was… 15 years old. It did not take him much time before establishing himself as an indisputable starter in his club, since he took part in all 18 of the 22 matches in which (2 assists) he was able to participate this season (the Georgian championship extends over the calendar year). In the country, he is also listed as the new gem of Georgian football.

In July, he was also able to discover the high-stakes European matches, with a Conference League qualifying round played with his club. If nothing promises a signing of the player at Barça, it is useful to remember that Dinamo Tbilisi has established new offices in Barcelona in recent months. A sort of twinning in close links with a Spanish association, with the aim of promoting the export of its best talents to the biggest European championships.
