Real Madrid will offer a second jersey sponsor for the first time in its history. The HP company will provide him with 70 million euros.

A little over forty years ago now, Real Madrid decided to add the name of a sponsor to the front of its legendary white jersey. During the 1982-1983 season, it was the Italian household appliance brand Zanussiwho therefore became the first to appear on the jersey of the Merengue. For a long time, Madrid players only had one sponsor’s name on their top. An era about to end as a second sponsor will arrive in the coming days. HP will now see its logo displayed on the tunic of Jude Bellingham and others.

The information was revealed this Thursday by A.S.. The Spanish media has confirmed that the American multinational which produces desktop and laptop computers, as well as printers, will be the first to see its logo sewn on one of the sleeves of the Real Madrid jersey. The amount of the agreement would amount to an annual amount of 70 million euros. A sum which will be added to the 70 million euros already disbursed Fly Emiratesand some 117.6 million euros ofAdidas, official equipment supplier of the club. That’s a total of more than 250 million euros per year in Madrid’s coffers.

Still heavy things to come

Real Madrid’s financial plan for the years to come is in any case taking on a new dimension. A.S. recalls that the amount recovered thanks to jersey sponsors, added to the income linked to the renovation and the increase in the reception capacity of the new Santiago Bernabeu, promises income of around one billion euros per season. Enough to make the media say that the club will no longer have anything to envy of Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City and the states that own them.

This announcement promises a fruitful financial future for President Florentino Perez. But the latter does not want to stop there. And if success is there on the economic side, he would also like it to be on the sporting level, with the long-awaited arrivals of Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappé. If we will still have to wait for the Norwegian, it could be that very quickly, the French announces some great news to the Socios Madrid.
