Real Madrid’s new star, Endrick, is definitely not like all the others. The 18-year-old Brazilian revealed who his childhood idols were, the first: Cristiano Ronaldo. Not really a surprise for a player who has just arrived at the Merengues. But Endrick’s other hero would be Bobby Charlton, a slightly more surprising choice. The English football legend retired in 1976, 40 years before the Real Madrid player was born.

Sir Bobby played 758 games and scored 249 goals for Manchester United between 1956 and 1973. The attacking midfielder is a true icon of the Red Devils, the South Stand at Old Trafford is even named after him. While the link between the two players may not seem easy to make, the two men do share the same build. Both 1.73m tall, the two men have common characteristics in their games.
