Real Madrid are reportedly currently working on signing a young defender from Manchester City.

Real Madrid are interested in recruiting Girona full-back Yan Couto. The young Brazilian plays in Spain but he belongs to Manchester City.

Real want Carvajal replacement

According to the daily Marca, the management and staff of Real are very interested in this 21-year-old and they are convinced that he could be an interesting contribution to them.

If Real is looking to strengthen itself in this sector it is because it is trying to anticipate the upcoming departure of Dani Carvajal. Aged 32, the latter no longer really embodies the future of the Merengue.

Couto’s loan at Girona runs until the end of the season. Real may go on the offensive at that point.

Coutu made his debut for Brazil last October. A first selection which clearly increased its market value.
