Real Madrid is already accelerating for Dani Carvajal’s replacement!

A victory and two hard blows. This is how to sum up Real Madrid’s evening. This Saturday, Carlo Ancelotti’s men certainly continued their series of invincibility in the league by dominating Villarreal (2-0) but the Mister can regret the injuries of Vinicius Jr, injured in the neck, and especially Dani Carvajal. Leaving in tears on a stretcher, badly injured in the right knee, the Spaniard saw his diagnosis published by the club this Sunday and the news is unfortunately not good. The Madrid full-back suffers, in fact, from three serious injuries: a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament, a rupture of the external collateral ligament and a rupture of the popliteal tendon.

Absent for the next few months and soon to have surgery, the 32-year-old will be greatly missed by the reigning European champions. In a state of shock, Real Madrid only has, to date, Lucas Vázquez for the right-back position while Eder Militao, Jesús Vallejo and Antonio Rudiger officiate in the axis of defense. On the left side, Fran García and Ferland Mendy offer two options to the Italian technician. However, the long absence of Dani Carvajal risks indeed shaking up the next Merengues transfer window, even if Florentino Pérez does not like to move too much during the season so as not to unbalance the budgets.

Trent Alexander-Arnold at Real this winter?

With this in mind, Sport reveals in today’s edition that Casa Blanca should accelerate, earlier than expected, for a long-standing track. Already interested in the recruitment of Trent Alexander-Arnold last summer, Real could thus not wait for the end of the contract of the English side, linked to Liverpool until June 2025. If a free arrival was until then considered, Carvajal’s injury largely reshuffled the cards. Engaged on different tables, the current second in Liga would therefore be ready to draw up an offer this winter for the Reds player.

A future offensive which would also allow the Mersey club to recover compensation. Lately, Relevo affirmed, in this respect, that the Madrid leaders had officially started discussions with the player’s entourage. For his part, Trent Alexander-Arnold has not accepted any offer to extend his contract with Liverpool and is still patient before making his decision. It now remains to be seen whether the 1m75 right-hander will be released this winter by the English team or will join the Merengues freely in a few months. Real Madrid – who can count on Jude Bellingham, a great friend of the player, to convince him to sign in Spain – seems determined to bring forward the date of his arrival and thus compensate for the long absence coming from Dani Carvajal…
