As Kylian Mbappé prepares to join Real Madrid, it seems that his brother Ethan could follow him to the Santiago Bernabeu.

In a transfer that has been in preparation since 2019, the 2018 World Cup winner with the Blues should finally realize his dream by joining Real Madrid. And according to the Daily Mail, Kylian would have asked club leaders to sign his brother Ethan at the same time as him. The British outlet also suggests that Madrid have already accepted the request and are preparing for a double signing.

Ethan is only 17 years old, but he made his professional debut with the reigning Ligue 1 champions at the start of the season. It was reported that he would first sign for Real Madrid Castilla before the team could judge the player and his level.

Two Mbappé or nothing

Despite a significant drop in salary, the 25-year-old can expect emoluments which will make him the highest paid player in the Merengue team. Although Mbappé will not receive the same base salary at Madrid, he will benefit from a substantial signing bonus and will retain an 80% share of the image rights in any contracts he signs in the future. This is a departure from the usual 50/50 split the club imposes on its new members.

The duo will still be focused on the season with Paris Saint-Germain, who have the possibility of winning the treble in an ideal scenario. The Mbappé brothers could both be in action during the Parisians’ next match against Monaco on Friday March 1.
