Real Madrid’s radical decision on its transfer window

Real Madrid is preparing to experience one of the most intense seasons in its history. After its success in the Champions League last May against Borussia Dortmund, the European champion will face 6 competitions. The club is in fact registered in La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup on the national scene, plus the European Super Cup, the Champions League (with 36 teams) and the famous Club World Cup in the summer of 2025 under a new format of 32 opponents.

In other words, fresh blood will be needed to perform. The Casa Blanca has so far said goodbye to Kepa, Nacho, Joselu and Kroos. The goalkeeper was coming to the end of his loan and was not renewed, the defender was at the end of his contract and left for Al Qadsiah in Saudi Arabia, while Joselu signed for Al Gharafa in Qatar. For the German midfielder, it is simply the end of his career, as he stops at the top after another C1 and a quarter at the Euro.

The transfer window is over at Real

To replace these departures, only two recruits have put down their suitcases. There is of course Kylian Mbappé, recruited free, Endrick, whose transfer was made official 18 months ago already. The capital club is also counting on Jesus Vallejo, regularly loaned season after season. The central defender still has one year of contract and should be part of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad during this season, according to the Spanish press. The Italian coach is also satisfied. He got what he wanted.

It has 22 competitive players, one less than last year. Barring a surprise departure (Lunin for example), Real Madrid should not experience any more major movements. According to ASthe transfer window is over. The other exception would be to jump on a good deal in central defense, since Leny Yoro has gone to Manchester United. With 4 players in the position currently (Militao, Rüdiger, Alaba, Vallejo), Real has what it takes but it also faced many injuries last season. That didn’t stop it from winning almost everything either.
