Real Madrid: the new crack of Vinicius Jr

For several months now, Vinicius Jr has been talked about as much on and off the field as possible. Very committed to issues of racism of which he is often the victim, the Brazilian star is also a divisive player on the pitches of La Liga. His devastating dribbles have not only allowed him to make friends and he is often the victim of big fouls when he indulges in series of dribbles of which only he has the secret. And if some criticize him for being too provocative, the Real Madrid striker does not intend to change.

Vinicius Jr’s character on La Liga pitches often offers scenes of altercation with opponents and even referees. And the match against Osasuna this Saturday was no exception to the rule. As is often the case, the Brazilian was brilliant, scoring a double and allowing his team to take three points. If his match was marked by new swaying dribbles, Vinicius Jr also stood out by taking a largely avoidable yellow card in the first period after protesting against a decision by the referee. Enough to greatly annoy Carlo Ancelotti who did not hide his anger upon discovering the sanction.

Vinicius Jr feels persecuted

“Hey, Vini, don’t make fun of me… Not for protesting to the referee, we already talked about that”, Ancelotti said to the player according to the Spanish press. The Italian technician is not mistaken. With this new yellow card, Vinicius Jr will be suspended for the next La Liga match against Athletic Bilbao. As a result, he will no longer wear the Madrid jersey for a month and the Champions League clash against Manchester City. In the meantime, he will be with Brazil during this international break. But this sanction for Real Madrid did not make the Brazilian lose his temper in this meeting. At half-time, he continued to lose his temper with the referee and Brahim Diaz had to intervene to calm him down.

But Vinicius Jr continued to attack Martínez Munuera and spoke in front of the cameras to get his message across. “In all of this referee’s matches, he gives me a card! In all his matches!”, launched the Brazilian, considering himself persecuted by referees for several months in La Liga. An attitude which has, once again, ignited the Spanish press divided between defending the attitude of the Madrid star or denouncing it. But regardless, Vinicius doesn’t seem to want to stop being the player he is. And Real Madrid ended up accepting it.
