Real Madrid was in England this week to go to Manchester for the Champions League dam match against Manchester City from Pep Guardiola.

Coincidence or not, less than 24 hours after his departure for the Spanish capital, new information fell concerning the defender of Liverpool Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The contract for the English right expires this summer and it is much expected that it will end up signing a free contract with Real Madrid. It is believed that Liverpool will continue his efforts to try to attach his product from the Academy, but Los Blancos certainly seem to be in pole position for his signature.

According to The Telegraph, Real Madrid is ready to “intensify” contractual negotiations with Alexander-Arnold in the coming weeks and wishes to conclude the agreement as quickly as possible. They also suggest that his salary will be between 9.5 and 12 million euros per year in Madrid.

An already very advanced agreement

This agrees with reports in Spain, although it has been reported that the agreement is much more advanced than that. The latest reports claim that Los Blancos believe that the contract for Alexander-Arnold is “95 % concluded”, the contracts being already established. Real Madrid tried to recruit Alexander-Arnold in January, offering between 15 and 25 million euros to accelerate his arrival in their eyes, taking into account the Dani Carvajal cross-cuff injury which ended his season. However, Liverpool was categorical that the 26 -year -old would not leave anywhere.
