Earlier this week, the Spanish Football Federation announced the opening of an investigation into Real Madrid’s use of its television channel to produce videos highlighting “errors” by referees in charge of their upcoming matches.
The matter has been controversial for some time and Sevilla were the first club to complain to the Federation. The initial request was rejected, but after some modifications it was accepted a few days ago.
Real Madrid are not concerned about this ongoing investigation, as they believe they are well within their rights to do so. This is how he produced his latest video on Mario Melero Lopez, the referee of Sunday’s match against Celta Vigo, as reported by Diario AS.

RMTV highlighted several “errors” on Melero Lopez’s part, including not awarding a penalty for a foul on Eduardo Camavinga during the recent match against Rayo Vallecano, for which he was the VAR referee.
It remains to be seen how the Federation’s investigation will proceed. In the meantime, Real Madrid intend to continue as if nothing had happened.
