Real Madrid are once again on the verge of making a big move in the transfer market. After attracting Kylian Mbappé, the Merengue club is interested in Trent Alexander-Arnold, whose contract with Liverpool expires in June 2025. But a departure this winter still remains uncertain.
Real wants Alexander-Arnold from January
According to RelevoReal Madrid would have liked to anticipate the arrival of the English defender from this winter transfer window to strengthen its weakened right flank. However, current Premier League leaders Liverpool remain opposed to a sale in January. Despite this reluctance, Real Madrid have already made contact with the player and are ready to offer 15 million euros to convince the Reds to let him leave immediately.
Liverpool closes the door, for now
Liverpool’s official position is clear: Alexander-Arnold will not leave this winter. However, the English press suggests that the Reds could revise their position for an offer of around 25 million euros. A sum that Real Madrid considers excessive, preferring to wait until the summer to sign the player for free.
For the moment, Alexander-Arnold, eager to leave Liverpool in the best conditions, remains awaiting a favorable outcome.
