Invited to the 2024 Ballon d’Or ceremony in Paris, Clarence Seedorf regretted Vinicius’ “defeat” and validated the conspiracy theory suddenly launched by Real Madrid.
This is Real Madrid’s scandalous excuse! After discovering that Vinicius was not the 2024 Ballon d’Or, Monday morning, President Florentino Pérez decided not to attend the ceremony organized in the evening in Paris and the Casa Blanca then denounced, in the Spanish press , a 0 scheme by UEFA. Real is in fact in conflict with the continental body and has been preparing for several years the creation of a European Superleague in collaboration with Barça.
The Ballon d’Or is always organized by France Footballbut the Amaury group (owner of
The Team and FF) joined forces last year with UEFA to organize the Ballon d’Or ceremony. “UEFA will put its expertise at the service of building the evening, by inviting the biggest stars, but also by developing the commercial part of the event”could we read in
The Team last year.
The Ballon d’Or destroyed by the Superleague?
Faced with the immense controversy surrounding Vini’s absence, Clarence Seedorf offered a mind-blowing media outing on the red carpet of the BO ceremony. The former midfielder clearly validates the conspiracy theory launched by the Madrilenians. “I think there are problems between Real Madrid and UEFA which affected something in the results. Vinicius is the one who totally deserved this trophy. The administrative problems between the two must be put aside for this reward which went to this player”he told TNT.
Seedorf is a “pro-Real” since he played for three seasons in the Spanish capital, from 1996 to 1999. He won his second Champions League with the Merengues in 1998 (against Juventus), three years after having won the C1 with Ajax (1995). At AC Milan, he was European champion two more times (2003 and 2007) and is thus the only player in history to have been crowned four times with three different clubs.
