This season, Real Madrid has a new Galactico with Kylian Mbappé. Almost everyone is eager to see him in action in the Merengue jersey. This should happen tomorrow since he will be starting against Atalanta in the European Super Cup. This should also be the case for Vinicius Jr (24 years old). For several seasons, the Brazilian has taken on another dimension with the residents of the Santiago Bernabéu stadium. A great hope for Auriverde football, he has become one of the leaders of Carlo Ancelotti’s team. His talent, his qualities, but also his character and his positions are causing a stir.

An offer in preparation for the SPL

Since yesterday, it is his future that has been the talk of the town. It all started with information published in The Athletic. The media outlet explained that Saudi Arabia has made Vini Jr its top priority. The idea is to make him one of the leading faces of the Saudi Pro League before the 2034 World Cup. Thus, a delegation from a public investment fund, which works on behalf of the Saudi Ministry of Sports, contacted the player’s agents. The Athletic mentioned an XXL proposal and clarified that both the footballer and Real Madrid had closed the door.

A few hours later, the striker posted a white heart on his X account to remind everyone of his attachment to the Merengues. End of the story? Not really. This Tuesday, several Spanish media outlets reveal the behind the scenes of this case. Thus, AS explains that Vinicius Jr has not yet rejected the Saudi offer because he does not have anything solid on the table at the moment. He wants to hear the SPL’s proposal precisely and is also waiting to see how the discussions between Madrid and the Saudis will evolve.

Vini Jr wants to know the Saudi offer

Regarding this point, AS specifies that Florentino Perez said no and referred his interlocutors to José Angel Sanchez, who confirmed that the Brazilian is not for sale and that he has a clause of 1 billion euros. AS as Relevo add that an offer much higher than Neymar’s €222 million is being prepared by Al-Ahli, the club that wants to recruit the Brazilian. For its part, The Globe mentions an amount of around €400 million. Vinicius Jr, himself, would earn €1 billion over 5 years (€200 million per year), between his salary and various bonuses.

He would therefore receive a salary approximately 20 times higher than the one he receives in Madrid and he would be the highest paid player in the SPL with CR7. Brandwho speaks of the “transfer of the century”assures that the player intends to stay. AS And Relevothey explain that it will be very difficult for the player to leave the Casa Blanca but that he is not completely closed. However, it is difficult to imagine the Spanish club letting go of its player. Last year, the Merengues had opened the door for Karim Benzema, who had aged. Vini, himself, is 24 years old and still has plenty of time to do great things in Madrid before leaving. In the event of failure, the SPL will return to the charge during the next transfer windows. To be continued…
