That is according to Relevo, who reports the Spanish giants have set their limits to spend on Davies this summer with the Bayern defender already agreeing to make the move to the Bernabeu.
The La Liga champions have been pursuing the Canada international for months and with everything gone quite lately, they have left the full-back in limbo.
The 23-year-old has a contract on the table at Bayern Munich and is yet to sign it due to the interest from Real Madrid as it is a move he wants to make.
The German club’s sporting director Max Eberl told BILD that the Bundesliga outfit have made Davies a very good contract offer and is waiting for the player to give them an answer.
“I can say we made Alphonso a very concrete, appreciative offer,” Eberl said via ESPN. “At some point in life, you have to say yes or no.”
With Real Madrid competing in the Champions League final on Saturday, the Spanish giants are very likely waiting until Europe’s biggest match has passed before making transfer decisions. The La Liga champions are also waiting to announce the signing of Kylian Mbappe and that is likely taking up most of their focus for now.
However, should Bayern Munich accept €40m for Davies, the Madrid-based club will very likely go ahead with a deal.

Could Premier League duo hijack Real Madrid’s Alphonso Davies transfer?
With Real Madrid’s move for Davies still up in the air, Premier League duo Chelsea and Man City are reportedly interested in hijacking the potential transfer, reports journalist Graeme Bailey.
Should everything fall apart between the La Liga club and the full-back, the English clubs will be ready to make a move for the Bayern Munich star.

Left-back has been an issue for both teams this season for different reasons.
Chelsea’s main man for the role is Ben Chilwell but the England star seems unable to keep fit for a long period of time. While Pep Guardiola has played centre-back Josko Gvardiol at left-back for the majority of the 2023/24 campaign and signing Davies would provide him with a more natural player in the role.
It remains to be seen where the 23-year-old ends up ahead of the new season but what is certain, is that Real Madrid are in control of this transfer story.
