Kairi Sane is one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions alongside Asuka, as the two have been very dominant as the champions as well. The Damage CTRL members have been on a roll since Kairi Sane made her WWE return last year and now the reason for her return has been revealed.

Kairi Sane made her shocking return to WWE television after three years and assaulting Bianca Belair at Crown Jewel – costing her the match against IYO SKY for the Women’s Championship and aligned herself with Bayley, Kairi Sane, IYO SKY, and Dakota Kai.

According to Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Kairi Sane’s decision not to sign a new deal with STARDOM was influenced by her loyalty to Rossy Ogawa. Ogawa was recently terminated from his role by STARDOM’s owner, Bushiroad. Kairi Sane had returned to WWE a few months ago, choosing not to sign with STARDOM.

Kairi’s close relationship with Ogawa, coupled with his departure from STARDOM, played a significant role in her decision. Similarly, Giulia, who also chose not to sign a new deal with STARDOM, agreed to help Ogawa start his new promotion.

This was a part of the reason that Kairi did not sign a deal with Stardom and returned to WWE a few months back. She is close with Ogawa and knew he wouldn’t be part of Stardom going forward.

”It’s also the reason Giulia didn’t sign a new deal with Stardom, and while agreeing to go to WWE, asked to delay her start.

Giulia had agreed from the start to help Ogawa start his new promotion long before WWE started pursuing her harder, and kept her word in that she will be there the first few months to use her star power to help kick it off before starting with WWE.

Kairi Sane also accidentally revealed Damage CTRL’s breakup long time before it happened. She also had a terrible hotel experience on RAW this week. Nonetheless, we will have to wait and see how she will continue to be booked in the coming weeks.
