Real Madrid’s priority is to sign Arsenal’s French defender William Saliba.

After having already appeared on the shelves of the Merengue, Saliba is once again the priority target of Real Madrid with a view to a transfer during the summer of 2025.

Nacho Fernández, 34, left Real Madrid for the Saudi Pro League last summer and was never replaced. There is therefore a real hole to fill within the central hinge of the reigning European champions.

Saliba in the absence of Leny Yoro?

Real Madrid wanted Leny Yoro but were not ready to pay the amount requested by Lille. The young Frenchman ended up joining Manchester United. Today, Real Madrid is therefore focusing on its compatriot, with the hope of achieving its goals. Because this quest will be anything but easy.

Indeed, it will not be easy to reach a deal, as Saliba is an important cog for the Gunners. The 23-year-old’s contract with Arsenal runs until the summer of 2027.
