Real’s plan to steal Yoro from PSG

Real Madrid appear to have identified Lille wonderkid Leny Yoro as their central defensive signing of the summer, and have already taken steps to complete a deal.

After a season marked by injuries, and with Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba already reaching their thirties, Los Blancos decided to invest in a central defender a year in advance. They had initially decided to do it in 2025, when Rudiger and Alaba had just one year left on their contracts, but injuries to Eder Militao and Alaba prompted Los Blancos to move forward with their plans.

Other options being considered by Los Blancos include Goncalo Inacio (Sporting CP) and Antonio Silva (Benfica), but it seems Yoro is the one who best fits their expectations. Earlier in the week, Spanish media reported that Real Madrid had been tracking Yoro for some time and that Lille were demanding more than €60 million for him.

Real has an ace up its sleeve

Today, Marca claims that Lille have been made aware of Real Madrid’s interest, as has Yoro. Real Madrid will then try to negotiate his price downward, keeping in mind that his contract expires in 2025.

Los Blancos won’t have it easy, as there is a lot of competition for Yoro’s signature, but as they have already started trying to convince him to play for Real Madrid, it must be said that Los Blancos have excellent track record in achieving their goals in the transfer market. One of the obstacles could be Alaba or Rudiger, who would stand in his way of playing alongside Militao if they complete their contract.
