PSG are on track to reach the quarter-finals of this Champions League following their 2-0 success at home. But we know, this is not a result which still 100% guarantees a Parisian presence for the next round. Especially since opposite, on the Basque side, we seem to believe in it, as his coach Imanol Alguacil explained at a press conference.

“Pessimists don’t understand football. Not only in the Champions League, but also in La Liga, when teams were trailing, there were surprises and turnarounds, and in the Champions League in qualifiers with even more difference. I have no doubt that if the team plays like it did in the first leg, especially in the first half hour, and we score the first goal, it is possible to go through. I’m not saying that while dreaming.”, he explained, before praising Luis Enrique and PSG. The message has gotten through.
