Real Madrid travel to San Sebastian to challenge Real Sociedad this Friday (9 p.m.). Here is the expected line-up for the Madrid club.
With the Champions League semi-final first leg against Bayern Munich fast approaching, Real Madrid have the opportunity to take another step towards the Spanish championship title. If successful in San Sebastian against Real Sociedad, Carlo Ancelotti’s team would widen the gap on Barça at the top of La Liga.
“ We have all the enthusiasm in the world, explained Carlo Ancelotti at a press conference. There are only seven points left to mathematically win La Liga and we need to get these seven points as quickly as possible. It’s a complicated match and we will try to give our best to beat Real Sociedad“.
The Bellingham imbroglio
With which starting eleven? An imbroglio has animated the last hours in the ranks of Real. Initially left to rest for gastroenteritis, Jude Bellingham was finally reinstated in the group summoned for this trip to the Basque Country.
Conversely, Rodrygo was ultimately not selected for this trip. Despite this last minute change, Real should present themselves with a largely overhauled eleven. A Vinicius-Joselu tandem is expected at the forefront of the attack, while Arda Güler could take on the role of central playmaker. In the midfield, Tchouaméni could regain his midfield position if Militao is aligned in central defense.
The expected line-up for Real Madrid : Lunin – Carvajal, Nacho, Militao, Fran Garci – Tchouaméni, Modric, Kroos – Arda Güler – Vinicius, Joselu.
