Reese Witherspoon Says Her Kids Don't Watch Her Movies, Reveals Humbling Review From Her Son

Reese Witherspoon has countless fans across the globe who watch every project that she releases. However, her children aren’t among them.

The 48-year-old actress shares daughter Ava and son Deacon with her ex Ryan Phillipe. Her younger son Tennessee is from her marriage to Jim Toth.

During a recent interview, Reese said that her kids “actively avoid” watching anything that she stars in. However, she said that one of them did watch her new movie You’re Cordially Invited and had a humbling review.

“I literally have my son tell me last night that he did not know I made a living being funny. He was like, ‘I just didn’t realize. You’re funny at home—sort of,’” she told E! News.

She noted that he watched her new movie with her and was surprised by people’s response.

“When he sat through the movie, he was like, ‘People were laughing at your stuff,’” she said, adding “I was like, ‘Yeah.’”

His review? “He told me kids his age won’t want to go see it because we’re old,” she joked. “That’s what he said to me: ‘You’re old. But they’ll love it when they when they do watch it with their parents.’”

Reese has been busy on the movie’s press tour. She appeared on Good Morning America and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday (January 29). We’ve got photos of her outside both studios in New York City in the gallery!
