The Chairman of the Governing Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Mr Chiedu Ebie, has urged the former governor of Delta State, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, to see his birthday as a moment for self-introspection

Ebie made the remarks in a congratulatory message to Dr. Uduaghan, on his 70th birthday celebration.

In a statement dated Tuesday, October 22, 2024, signed by Ebie’s media aide, Jerome-Mario Utomi, and made available to South-South PUNCH in Asaba, Mr. Ebie described the former governor as a trained medical doctor, an accomplished public officer, who served as governor of Delta State from 2007 to 2015, where he appreciably contributed his quota towards the development of the state.

He stated that the 70th birthday celebration will provide the former governor with an auspicious opportunity for introspection in his journey of life so far, Ebie therefore urged him to view the day as strategically set aside by his creator to count his blessings and offer praises to God.

He said, “As a former governor, this historic day marks not only a great leap forward in age but also the beginning of a new vista for contributing towards collective development and realization of sustainable development of Delta as a state, the Niger Delta region and the nation in general.

“See the day as a moment for self-introspection, we are wishing you many more years in good health of mind and body. It also calls for introspection in your journey of life so far, to count your blessings and offer praises to your God.

“As you therefore celebrate this day, on behalf of my family, members of the Governing Board and management of the NDDC, we congratulate you on your 70th birthday anniversary and wish you many more years in good health and sound mind.”
